Hum Drip Hiss has no user accounts, sign-up boxes, comment sections or forms, so it never asks for your name, address or any other personal details. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Nothing you read here is used to build a profile of you.

Links to outside websites, such as makers' manuals, government pages or the businesses described on the ownership and links page, take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Once you follow a link, that site's policy applies.

Fonts and videos

The site's fonts load from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives the standard technical details any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type, under Google's own privacy policy.

Videos are click-to-play. Before you press play, only the video's thumbnail image loads, from Google's i.ytimg.com image server. The YouTube player itself loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you click, and from then on YouTube's privacy policy applies to that video.

Hosting logs

The company that hosts the site keeps standard server logs, as almost every web host does. These logs record technical details of each request, such as the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser type, and are used to keep the site running and secure. Hum Drip Hiss does not use them to identify readers or sell anything.
